Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how appointment cancellations, rescheduling and refunds of consultation fees are handled on OPDConnect.
Last updated: 13 August 2026
1. Patient cancellation
You may cancel a booked appointment from your appointment details before the scheduled time. Where the doctor or hospital has set a cancellation window, it will be shown at the time of booking or cancellation. Refund eligibility for a patient cancellation depends on that provider's rule and on when the cancellation is made.
2. Doctor cancellation
If a doctor cancels a confirmed appointment, or is unavailable due to leave, an emergency or a schedule change, you may reschedule at no extra cost or request a refund of any consultation fee already paid online.
3. Hospital cancellation
If a hospital or clinic cancels an appointment, closes a department session, or moves a doctor's schedule, the same options apply: reschedule with the same or another doctor in that organization, or request a refund of the amount paid online.
4. Rescheduling
Rescheduling is subject to available slots in the doctor's active sessions and to their leave calendar. When an appointment is rescheduled, any fee already paid is carried over to the new appointment rather than refunded.
5. Refund eligibility
- Refunds apply only to consultation fees actually paid online through the platform.
- Fees paid in cash at the counter are settled directly with the doctor or hospital and are handled by them.
- Cancellations by a doctor or hospital are eligible for a full refund of the online amount.
- Patient cancellations are assessed against the provider's cancellation rule for that appointment.
Specific cancellation windows and deduction rules are being finalised as part of our payment system. Until they are published here, refund requests are reviewed case by case and this policy will be updated when the rules are configured.
6. Refund processing time
Once a refund is approved, it is initiated to the original payment method. The time to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider. We will share the reference details for the refund once it is initiated.
7. Failed or reversed payments
If a payment fails, is declined or is reversed by your bank, the appointment may not be confirmed. If money was deducted without the appointment being confirmed, contact us with the transaction details and we will verify and arrange a refund.
8. Duplicate payments
If you are charged more than once for the same appointment, the duplicate amount is refunded in full after verification. Please share both transaction references.
9. No-show situations
If you do not attend a confirmed appointment and did not cancel it in advance, the consultation fee is treated as a no-show and is generally not refundable. If a doctor or hospital fails to attend a confirmed appointment, you are eligible for a full refund or a free reschedule.
10. When the fee is non-refundable
- The consultation has already taken place.
- You did not attend without cancelling in advance.
- Incorrect or false details were provided that prevented the consultation.
- The request relates to dissatisfaction with clinical advice or treatment outcome, which is a matter between you and the treating doctor.
- Fraudulent or misleading payment proof was submitted.
11. Advertising payments
Advertising campaign payments are refundable only where a campaign was rejected before going live or could not be delivered for the paid duration. Amounts for delivered campaign days are not refundable.
12. How to request a refund
Email info@opdconnect.com with your name, phone number, doctor or hospital name, appointment date and time, amount paid and the transaction reference. We will confirm receipt and keep you updated until the request is closed.
